 Clearly I'm all about the food as I've stopped thinking about candy buffets for now and have moved on to the Late Night Snack trend. I don't see late night snacks going out of style anytime soon because of the fun factor of serving something delicious to your guests after they've worked off dinner and wedding cake on the dance floor. There are endlessly creative ideas when it comes to the late night snack. Your choice may depend on the time of year. If you're having an outdoor or tented wedding, having a trendy food truck pull up to serve freshly made tacos, gourmet pizza, ice cream or hot dogs is a fun surprise. The cooler months may inspire gourmet grilled cheese triangles served with a tomato soup shot. Sliders, and sweet potato fries in paper cones never go out of style. Freshly baked, warm cookies with cold milk shots hit the spot too. Geography sometimes lends a hand in the late night snack decision. If the bride or groom is from Chicago, for example, there's nothing wrong with serving up mini Chicago Deep Dish Pizzas at the end of the night. Of course Ben and Jerry came out with Late Night Snack Ice Cream, which is delicious, by the way would be easy and fun to eat if served in mini cones. Food for thought! |
